Summer Study Abroad
CSCJ offers a summer study abroad program in Prague, Czech Republic that focuses on international and comparative criminology and criminal justice, with an emphasis on crime and justice issues in emerging democracies. The first cohort of 13 students were in Prague during Summer 2008 under the guidance of Dr. Hogan, the second cohort in Summer 2009 with Dr. Tara Shelley, and the third cohort in Summer 2010 with Dr. Prabha Unnithan. The program is six weeks in length and consists of two courses, Comparative Crime and Deviance and Comparative Criminal Justice Systems, in which students earn six CSU credits. The program is also open to students from other colleges and universities.
